Spring is already here, but Germany’s national social web spring will be kicked again traditionally by the main convention re:publica in Berlin. From May 2 to 4, 2012, the big, fat web summit aka #rp12 initially occupies a new venue. After more than 3,000 bloggers, geeks, nerds, webgrrls and their friends and families, in 2011, the fresh re:publica enterprise which was recently founded, decided to go the step ahead and will enter the breathtaking location STATION-Berlin with its historical halls of the former „Postbahnhof“ at Berlin Gleisdreieck S-Bahn station –

[It] will provide the setting for Europe’s most exciting, inspiring and enjoyable conference about social media, blogs and digital society […] [with] an agenda reflecting the freshest minds, stories, and subjects from all over the world. […] After five prosperous years, re:publica will reinvent itself once more.

As the the organisation committee has already dropped some details, the upcoming event will be probably more exciting than ever!

Some regular tickets are still available starting at EUR 130 for a three-day pass. Additionally the exclusive business tickets including lounge access, delicious slow food, and high speed registration (i.e. joining #rp12 straight ahead) are offered for EUR 500 fee each.

Learn. Experience. Collaborate. And register for PICNIC Innovation Mash Up – 15 May 2012, Amsterdam

In less than two months, on May 15th, 2012, a spin-off of one of our favorite conferences, will be launched in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

On May 15th the PICNIC people will kick the new summit PICNIC Innovation Mash Up for the first time.

What is the PICNIC Innovation Mash Up? Read the description from the lips of the crew behind (or so) –

The PICNIC Innovation Mash Up will be a one-day, active learning event focused on “how”: how businesses in traditional sectors can successfully apply top innovation processes used by Dutch and international creative industry professionals to launch new products and services, connect with customers and grow. […] PICNIC’s twist: creative industry experts will lead the event, coaching, collaborating and contributing valuable expertise, ideas and feedback.

The May event is somehow a kind of pre- before main event (in September). It mainly addresses the creative industries and business as well as non profits, government, higher education and science and technology.

The single-day agenda at the Dutch capital will have a plenary session and break-out workshops as well as matchmaking sessions.

Now it’s your turn: If you get your ticket before end of March you will still get the early bird ticket rate of EUR 250 which would mean a saving of EUR 50 in comparison to the regular rate of EUR 300.
