The route to Stockholm has been fixed now. This year’s conference trail will stop at

The Swedish team around Christoffer Granfelt and Ola Ahlvarsson spread their vision

to create a leading international event […] bringing together world-class speakers, global and local thought leaders from the internet, media, telecom and entertainment industry with entrepreneurs, investors, journalists, marketing professionals and other decision makers.

Unfortunaly, Vienna will not be spotted in June 2012 as reported on earlier on SIME’s Facebook page. Last year, a one-day summit was helt at the great Brauerei Ottakringer brewery event location, and co-hosted by Microsoft Austria and Vienna’s technology agency ZIT. To leverage each region’s economy for the mainly international visitors, SIME co-operated in the past already with institutions as Barcelona Activa and Stockholm City Council.

In less than two months, on May 15th, 2012, a spin-off of one of our favorite conferences, will be launched in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

On May 15th the PICNIC people will kick the new summit PICNIC Innovation Mash Up for the first time.

What is the PICNIC Innovation Mash Up? Read the description from the lips of the crew behind (or so) –

The PICNIC Innovation Mash Up will be a one-day, active learning event focused on “how”: how businesses in traditional sectors can successfully apply top innovation processes used by Dutch and international creative industry professionals to launch new products and services, connect with customers and grow. […] PICNIC’s twist: creative industry experts will lead the event, coaching, collaborating and contributing valuable expertise, ideas and feedback.

The May event is somehow a kind of pre- before main event (in September). It mainly addresses the creative industries and business as well as non profits, government, higher education and science and technology.

The single-day agenda at the Dutch capital will have a plenary session and break-out workshops as well as matchmaking sessions.

Now it’s your turn: If you get your ticket before end of March you will still get the early bird ticket rate of EUR 250 which would mean a saving of EUR 50 in comparison to the regular rate of EUR 300.

[which is] just a warm-up for Paris“. […] It’s like fashion, right. You have summer, you have winter.
